No dia 22 de setembro, será lançado o álbum Blast No.1 – Blastbeat Tribute to Type O Negative, que reúne bandas dos gêneros Grind, Crust, D-beat, Powerviolence e Death Metal em um tributo meticulosamente organizado pela 783Punx. O projeto apresenta 19 covers de músicas do Type O Negative, interpretadas de forma única pelas bandas participantes.

No vindouro trabalho, as bandas transformam as icônicas músicas do Type O Negative, geralmente mais lentas, em versões aceleradas no estilo Grindcore. Edi, da 783Punx, explica:

“Nossa abordagem foi pegar músicas do Type O Negative, que são tipicamente lentas e longas, e transformá-las em faixas curtas e super rápidas no estilo grindcore, mas mantendo a sua identidade reconhecível.” Algumas das bandas envolvidas incluem Hellbastard, Schismopathic, Proletar e Abaddon Incarnate.

O lançamento físico do álbum também conta com um elemento visual especial, combinando o estilo clássico do Type O Negative com símbolos familiares para os fãs do Blastcore. A arte foi criada por Ada, membro da banda Bite the Dust.
